DUCKS CLINCH SECOND HALF TITLE AND WINNINGEST SEASON IN TEAM HISTORY

The Long Island Ducks clinched the second half title, in conjunction with having already clinched the first half. Win 83 last night, it breaks a single season team record of 82. With four games left, they could go even further setting a team record. With both halves being won by the Long Island Ducks, it guarantees them a playoff spot. It enhanced their 20th Anniversary Season and makes way for The Drive To The Title!

Other then record setting wins, the Ducks, led by manager Wally Backman, have played well all year long. Sold pitching was key to their success, followed by a solid offense and defense was key to their taking first place in both halves.
